It is a neat location and have eaten here on numerous occasions over the span of many years. After returning here after a two year hiatus (we vacation in this area off and on) I was pleasantly surprised at the changes. New menu items and a new chef it seems, and everything was absolutely fantastic. Hands down the best meal I've eaten in the Cross Lake area.

Our third year for a girls get away. Always in December. Nice and quiet except for us. Haha.

Every time we give Manhattan's Restaurant another chance, we're disappointed. While the food is great, the way the place is run is not. Always employees yelling at each other, always tension between the cooks & waiters, and it takes HOURS to get the food.

My comment is the restaurant was subpar. Menu sounds fabulous but don't let that fool you. To be honest I think they skimp on ingredients to save money and deliberately leave things out of your food hoping you won't notice. I felt swindled when I left with my wife after dining there. Bingo was fun on Wednesday. Don't know anything about the actual lodge but after our dinner experience I am glad we are not staying there. Bartender was also a very immature old man who made rude comments to my wife as well. Go anywhere else if you want a decent meal along with a welcoming feeling from the owners/staff/locals.

Restaurant/Bar is good when you can find it open.

Our server was lovely and kind. The cooks, kitchen staff, and management on the other hand need to figure out how to run a restaurant.

Hotel rooms have seen better days & sometimes not even clean.

Always disappointed - I don't think we'll be giving them any more chances.

We made a dinner reservation for our anniversary this past Saturday for 6pm. We were seated, drinks were served, and then told that it's a 45 minute wait for any food. Upon ordering an appetizer, we were told they were out of it. So, we were brought two rolls at a time to keep our stomachs full for the hour wait. Once our food came, my mashed potatoes were WAY over seasoned - I couldn't eat them. With a dinner reservation, we shouldn't have to wait an HOUR for our food! Also, I understand there is a beach bar, but there shouldn't be women in bikinis allowed in the restaurant area at dinner time, and there definitely shouldn't be DOGS allowed in the restaurant sitting their lap.
