Pine Terrace was so nice in June we went back in August (2017). Lots of outdoors stuff (hiking, fishing, kayaking) to do at the resort and in the area. While there is a lot to offer larger families with kids, pick a cabin away from the beach and it gets pretty quiet. The No Pet policy also helps promote a peaceful experience. Owners were very pleasant and fun to work with. We will be back!!
I just spent a week at Pine Terrace with a group of friends- moms and kids! We had a great time and were very happy with the cabins and amenities. The park and swim beach were perfect for the kids.
This place is awesome! We are from Denver and were looking for the true Minnesota cabin experience, and this is it. The owner and family are great, down to earth people that provide anything and everything you need. We rented a pontoon and a small fishing boat and they made sure it was always filled with gas and clean. The beach and trampoline were a huge hit with the kids (and parents). We never had to go to town for bait because the owner went every morning and would get anything we wanted. The cabins were very clean and nice. We had a fire every night since firewood was replaced every morning. We had a blast and will definitely be going back. Don't believe some of the psychotic 1 star reviews on here. If you are looking for beautiful, clean lake and to get away for a while, this is your place.
The owners were great hosts and even helped us get our fire going one night when we were struggling to get it started. I especially appreciated how peaceful it was there and hearing the frequent loon calls. I would definitely recommend a get away to Pine Terrace Resort!
LOVED IT! We rented several cabins with our extended family and had one of the best weeks! Some previous reviewers complained about rules but, I found the owners to be nothing but accommodating and flexible - even though they could have dinged us on a few things for sure... But the best parts of Pine Terrace are the perfect cabins, the scenic trails and beach, and the many FREE activities (lots of water toys, land games - loved the ping pong and horseshoes- and even a library of board games). Thanks for a great week! We already have booked again for next year!
PTR was awesome! We had such a great week fishing, swimming and relaxing. We had fires going all day long and they kept the wood coming. Kayaks, paddle boards and canoes are all free of charges, and these arn't cheap generic ones all super nice high quality.
